A Pansy for Your Thoughts!

Pansies
The name pansy is derived from the French word pensée meaning "thought", and was so named because the flower resembles a human face. In August the pansy is thought to nod forward as if deep in thought.~internet~

The same meaning, of loving thoughts, is also applicable to those who are still with us, and in this case the pansy not only sends loving thoughts, but also asks for loving thoughts in return. For this reason, pansies are always an appropriate bouquet for someone with whom you share a friendship or a special bond.~internet~
As a rule the word pansy is associated with weakness or of someone who may display effeminate qualities not in accordance with the rules of  masculinity. Pansies display their delicate beauty in the colder temperatures of early spring when no other dare display their hardy foliage till summer. The pansy in the photo above was less than an inch in diameter, displaying a great deal of strength for it's size and cold hardiness. I say that when I look into the face of one, my loving thoughts will be that of tolerance to see only their strength.
"Nobody can keep on being angry if he or she looks into the heart of a pansy for a little while."
~L.M. Montgomery~
