Food For Thought!

Not Guilty!
Although I try to keep this blog as uplifting and inspirational as I possibly can, I guess when something is weighing heavily on my heart I must express that as well!
A verdict was recently reached and I can't say that I know anyone, that agreed with the jury's decision! How then, do these things happen? Like most, I have no answers, just feeling bewildered and indignant!
How much circumstantial evidence does it take to convict someone today? So reminiscent of past high profile trials and does that alone insure, a not guilty verdict. Experts are brought in to confuse issues and cause reasonable doubt. How many of us would be privy to these experts had it not been such a high profile case? Does it then come down to winning and fame? Have we all gone reasonably mad?
We must swallow the bitter pill of the jury's decision and move forward, like it or not.
I find consolation in the fact that this young woman must live within the confinement of her conscience and suffer the consequences of little footprints, forever imprinted upon her soul!

I feel the same way about that verdict. The whole thing makes me kind of disgusted and a sad too.

Your photo is wonderful. What kind of flower is that? I see lots of little buds and I'm thinking it's a hydrangea.

Yes, this is truly so very sad. Although things looked quite obvious, there simply was not enough hard evidence for a conviction, and although I was disheartened to say the least over the outcome, it did not come as a surprise.

On another note! Congratulations on your new camera. What camera did you choose?

Just as you said...get enough experts to put a reasonable doubt in the jurors' minds...you have an acquittal. Yes, she will have to live with this forever. I am just not certain it will torment her.

On a brighter note, the picture is so lovely. Have a great afternoon!!

I feel exactly the same. Unfortunately, one must first have a conscience to feel badly about something. I'm not sure this young woman has one. The whole case just made me sick...then the verdict was like a sucker punch. I mean, how is not reporting your child missing not neglect?! Partying and then lying about her whereabouts speak volumes to me. The computer searches...I could go and and on. Sadly, this girl will probably get pregnant again.

On a lighter note, I love your bee photo!

I don't know what you are talking about but your picture is gorgeus.
Have a nice weekend.
