Halloween Fun!

Bewitching Hat
Liz Taylor
These two beautiful ladies own their own businesses! Downtown, Fort Myers I visited a jewelry shop and the owner Bonnie was displaying new items, getting ready for Halloween! I adored her hat and asked if she would model for me! Once again thankful that I had my little point and shoot camera with me. She is a wonderful spirit and her beauty truly shines through! Thank you Bonnie!
The second beautiful lady just happens to be my daughter. She sent me this photo yesterday via her cell phone. Wish I had been back in Massachusetts with my big Canon. I thought her so beautiful, I doctored the photo up some with a texture and black and white effects. She did her own makeup for that Liz Taylor Look! Love those eyebrows!
Thank You ladies and Happy Halloween Everyone!

A Flower For You!

Happy Birthday
"A daughter is a little girl who grows up to be a friend."~Author Unknown~
Happy Birthday, to my very sweet daughter today. She has grown into a beautiful young woman and has blessed our family with three gorgeous, grand-children. Kathy, owns her own business and employs twenty three women. With the support of her husband Brian, who also owns his own business, they are a very busy young couple.
Living with them in the summer when we come up north to Massachusetts, caring for the grand-children our focus during school break.
Daughter, sweet daughter, we are proud of what you have accomplished and most proud of how you treat others with respect, having sacrificed much to insure their well-being.
Not sure I could ever run in your shoes but having fun watching the race!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I will probably get a post out tomorrow AM, not sure after that. Awaiting the arrival of the unwelcome guest, IRENE. We are on the east side of the predicated storm and flooding a huge concern here. We are safe and far enough away from the water, however loosing our power almost a certainty! Will try to remain positive and hope for the best. Off to buy hurricane food today, it always amazes me that milk and bread sell out first!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day
The things you never forget as a mom are the weight, length and time of your child's birth, no matter their age. Their first tooth, steps, words, bandaging boo boos, licenses, graduations and the first time they left home. Wow, where does the time go? Watching them go thru the teen years, young adulthood and finally finding their way had it's challenges and triumphs.

Standing behind them no matter what and loving them unconditionally is what mother's do best. To be there in their time of need if need be! To watch my daughter with her children is such a wonderful gift. She is the mother of three. I never knew I could love so much!
Sometimes I tease that they turned out OK in-spite of me! I guess as mother's we can only do the best that we can.
The two above are my greatest works of art, they are the masterpiece, of my life. I am so proud that they call me mom, but I am most proud, that they are two really nice human beings!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and mother-in-law, they still tell me they love me every time we speak! That's what mother's do!

The Stockings were Hung by the Chimney with Care

Twas the night before Christmas
This poem has a very special meaning for me. A very long time ago my then 5 year old daughter knew this entire poem by heart and recited it at a school play. She wore a red flannel nightgown embellished with a white lace collar and a white satin night cap on her precious little head. It is funny how I can remember somethings so clearly and then can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday! I had a picture of this event blown up and set it out every year. Going to have to find that picture and set it out once again!!! Welling up, going to have to cry, excuse me while I find a tissue. Still so proud of you my precious, darling daughter!
