Tropical Birds, Key West, Florida
Photos were taken at The Butterfly Garden and Conservatory, Key West, Florida. These darling little tropical creatures are about the size of a pet parakeet, a couple a bit smaller. My friend Judy and I were in butterfly heaven, one landing on my shoulder for a few short moments. Trying to photograph their fluttering behavior with our instrument of capture an interesting adventure. The tropical birds an unexpected and pleasant surprise.
Exotic flowers, textured foliage, the gentle sound of running water, multi-colored butterflies swarming our path, chirping birds, filtered light, comfortable temperatures, a sensory sanctuary, heightening our already overloaded senses, blending together creating a perfect environment for a total escape from reality.
A mere slice in time creating long term wonderful memories! |

Rosemary, they are just adorable, and these are wonderful photographs.
I especially love the 4th one here. One of my favorite birds.
Wishing you a wonderful beginning to your week!
Amazing birds, Rosemary.
Hope you are well. :)
Such happy little fellows! The white one looks like it's about to pop!
Glad you are having fun!
The colours of these birds are so beautiful! The yellow is amazing.
What fun you must have had :-)

So colorful! You got some really great shots. I'd be there every day if that was near me. :)
I'd love to visit a place like that too Rosemary. The first look like canaries, but so beautifully yellow. I saw what I believe is a star finch in there also. How wonderful to see the butterflies also
