Good Bye New England, Hello Florida!

Harbour, Fairhaven, Massachusetts
"The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings."~Dave Weinbaum~
If this quote be true, I am a woman of great wealth! With each season a new episode, a fall preview so to speak. Since retirement our existence a constant range of motion! As we ready to return to our home in Florida we bid our children, family and friends farewell, a sadness always fills my heart. We look forward, however, to a new season in Florida, bejeweled with many wonderful and supportive friends.
Long hours on the road back, we make every stop an adventure and take our time.
We have explored many new places during our journeys, up and down the east coast, there are many more gems yet to be discovered and photographed.
Always something new, always a new beginning, never any time to submit to boredom!

LOVELY! I really like the reflections.
Happy Trails!
We live away from our children and grandchildren so I know the leaving comes with both sadness and gladness as well.

Beautiful colour - both in the sky and the water. You will enjoy being home too - imagine the different sorts of photos you will be taking - warmer colours I suppose!

Rosemary, I've been to a Bed and Breakfast that had that same view in 2008 in Fairhaven!! Wonder if you are familiar with it? It was the most memorable part of my train trip across the country from Seattle to Boston..I will check back with you from time to time as I do enjoy your blog...safe journey...Kathy ;)

I love the sentiment of the quote Rosemary. I am sure it must be tough to leave a summer with family behind, but I am sure you will have a wonderful end to the year in Florida. The picture for this post is wonderful BTW. I love the cool watery colors.

I agree with you that boredom is never possible to someone who is always on the go and sees opportunity in every situation. No matter what. It's always a blessing to have good people around us. Despite your proximity to your family, true friends are there. Enjoy the rest of your week. Take care :)

Oh, I know the journey. I too will have to be leaving Maine in another 2 weeks. Sigh. In a few more years, we will be doing the same drive as you more routinely once The Professor retires. Can't wait!
